What to ask about any AI feature
A demo always looks good. These questions separate a useful assistant from a chat window:
- Can it change records, or only answer questions?
- What happens before it moves money or sends a message to a tenant?
- Is it included in the price, or a higher tier?
- Can you use it from the AI tools you already pay for?
How Proppely answers those
In the web app, WhatsApp and Telegram, the assistant asks you to confirm each change before it runs. In the desktop app and other AI apps connected over MCP, routine changes run directly. Actions that move money, send a message written by the AI, or cannot be undone always become proposals a person approves in Proppely. An account owner can require approval for every change, and every action is logged.
Every workspace includes $5 of AI usage a month with a daily message limit. Heavier use runs on prepaid AI credits, or you can connect Claude over MCP and work through the Claude subscription you already have.
Rent is never paid through chat. Residents pay in the resident portal.

Is there property management software that works with Claude or other AI apps?
Yes. Proppely publishes a remote Model Context Protocol (MCP) server with OAuth sign-in, setup guides for Claude, OpenAI Codex and Cursor, and an OpenClaw skill on ClawHub. Protected actions still need a person’s approval in Proppely. AppFolio has announced a connector between its Realm-X AI and Claude.
Can an AI assistant collect rent?
Not in Proppely. Residents pay rent in the resident portal. The assistant can record a cash or check payment you already collected.
