Is Proppely really free?
Yes. A Proppely workspace has no unit limit, free or paid, and no monthly fee until you set up online payments. Leases, the accounting ledger, owner statements, maintenance, e-signatures and the tenant portal all cost $0.
What does it cost once I set up online payments?
$9.99 a month, charged when you start payments setup, with unlimited units and your first payments account included. Each additional payments account, usually one per LLC, is $9.99 a month, and the total stops at $400 a month. ACH rent payments are $2.35 flat, paid by residents by default. Card payments are 3.5% + 30¢, and cards are optional for each business.
Is there a limit on units or properties?
No. Units, properties, leases, tenants and team members are unlimited on the free workspace and on the membership.
Does the free workspace include accounting?
Yes. You get the ledger, owner statements and reports. You can record rent you collect by cash or check, and it posts to the same books online payments would.
Do I need a credit card?
No. Creating your workspace needs no card. You add one when you start the membership to set up online payments, or if you buy AI credits or other prepaid add-ons.
What happens if I cancel the membership?
If you cancel, your workspace goes back to the free plan once payments are closed out. The membership lasts to the end of the period you already paid for. Then online payments are switched off, and the workspace is paused until each payments account is closed out. Your properties, leases and books stay. If a membership payment fails instead, the same happens after a short grace period, currently 7 days. Calls and texts from a Proppely phone number need an active membership.
How do I get a free workspace?

Can rent be paid through the AI assistant or a chat app?
No. Residents pay rent in the resident portal. The assistant can record a cash or check payment you already collected, and any money action it proposes waits for a person on your team to approve it.
